Dr. Okan Gelmedi

Dr. Okan Gelmedi was born in 1979 in Mardin. He completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Public Administration at Gazi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He completed his master’s degree in Business Administration at Sakarya University Institute of Social Sciences, and his doctoral education in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the same university.

He started his public service career in 2003 at the Ministry of Finance Revenue Administration. From 2007 onwards, he served in various positions at the PTT General Directorate, including Inspectorship, Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Board, and Deputy Head of Accounting and Finance Department.

In 2015, he resigned and began working as a Certified Public Accountant. Since 2018, he has held the title of Independent Auditor. He has published a book on General Accounting and Financial Statements Analysis, as well as numerous articles.

He serves as a referee in professional journals and occasionally teaches as a guest lecturer at Ankara University. He is fluent in English and Arabic, and is married with two children.
